Historians

Sometimes why people study things is obvious. Astronomers gaze at the stars and dream on. Vets love animals. Mathematicians love numbers and fascination with their shape, and dentists never look down in the mouth. Pharmacists can tell customers where to stick some products and get away with it.
Arthur Brownwindsor studied gynaecology until he fell off the ladder.
But historians? Windsorsoup has discovered why. Historians are gossips who cannot be sued.
If you or I said "Richard is a tall commanding gifted homosexual" you have to be sure of your facts or Richard could sue you. If you are a historian like Henry Farrar and say, " King Richard I was a tall commanding gifted homosexual" you are safe. You can say what you like about all of them . Everybody referred to could sue if still alive. Ain't death wonderful?
That is why history books stop around 1900.
And why  Farrar can be so rude about the ladies.!

Round tower not really round. Square with round corners!
